Albufeira and Vilamoura Fishing Trips

Don't be all jaws, get stuck in...Organize your own private fishing expedition from the ports of Vilamoura or Albufeira. The Atlantic Ocean awaits with its whale-sized family of formidable finned fauna: the Blue Shark, Mako Shark, White Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Bonito, Dorado...Welcome to the fishiest stag or hen group activity on the Algarve.

You'll be set up with a specially adapted chartered fishing boat, a fisherman's license and all the fishing equipment. You'll nary fnd a saltier old dog than the local Algarve fisherman: delighted to show you the ins and outs of the reel work required to haul in a hammer head or two (our forearms are still aching !) while sat sedately in a chair that is seriously bolted to the deck (you'll be glad of that).  All in all the excitement is guarantee with trips of varying length, commitment and price.

Algarve Fishing Trips - Typical schedule

• This activity is available from April to November.
• Sailings usually start after lunch at various times and may depend on the time of year- please consult the table above for an approximate time. We will confirm all of the precise detais in good time. Remember you will need to build in time to get to the Marina (at either Albufeira or Vilamoura)
• The bigger the catch, the further out you'll sail to get to where these fish are. That's why the shark fishing adventure lasts a little longer that the others.

What is included in Algarve fishing ?

• All our fishing trips include a fisherman's license, the required equipment, safety instructions and a briefing on how to get most out of the trip !  
• Please consult the table above for any meals/drinks included. Additional drinks can always be purchased on board and we can usually organise a light meal if not included. t.
• As the cost of transport to the point of departure depends on where your hotel is and which port we sail from, transport is not included in our Algarve fishing packages, so ask us for a quote for a cheap fishing transfer ! 
• Drinks are available.

How much does it cost ?

• Big game fishing prices depend on the size of your group, usually, the more the merrier ! You'll find a guide price to the right of this page in the list of Algarve group acitivities. These are rates that apply to large group sizes.

What else do I need to know?

• Group size: these private charter fishing activities are usually available for group size from 12 - 20 persons. If your group size is larger than that, please let us know. Smaller groups can either pay the minimum amount (12 persons) or we can recommend a public fishing trip.   
• Need transport to the port for this activity? We can offer a low-priced minivan transfer, usually this will cost less than €10pp (depending on precise pick up point). Many hotels are within walking distance of the Ports !
• The Atlantic Ocean has to be taken seriously and can throw up swells and choppy seas. Your crew will always make sure the activity is conducted with safety in mind.
• Safety is important at all times and you must heed the rules and advice of the crew.
